Java Developer

About the role

We're hiring a Java Developer for a long-term remote contract to build new cloud-based applications. You'll design, implement, and maintain Java applications, collaborate with cross-functional teams on new features, and write clean, well-tested code. The role covers technical analysis and troubleshooting, code reviews, database schema design and complex SQL, RESTful API design and third-party integrations, and collaboration with front-end developers and QA.

Requirements

• ✓Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• ✓Proven experience as a Java developer across the full software development lifecycle
• ✓Proficient in Java, J2EE, and related technologies
• ✓Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security)
• ✓Experience with Hibernate or other ORM frameworks
• ✓Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• ✓Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL); NoSQL experience a plus
• ✓Familiarity with Git and version control
• ✓Experience with build tools (Maven, Gradle) and CI/CD pipelines
• ✓Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• ✓Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
• ✓Preferred: microservices architecture, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
